Americans with Disabilities Act:
ADADA provides for "equal access" features in publicly-used facilities,
including playgrounds. Recently the ADA revised its guidelines for
accessible play areas, adopting new minimum requirements for elevated
and ground-level play activities, and surfacing.

American Society
for Testing and Materials: The ASTM is a scientific and
technical organization that establishes standards for testing
different types of materials, including playground equipment. All LSI
playground equipment meets the ASTM F-1487 Standard of safety and
accessibility requirements, unless otherwise noted.

National Playground Contractors Association: The NPCA
supports all playground safety programs, guidelines and standards that
promote public playground safety by assisting the public in
identifying the need for a professional playground installation.

National Program for Playground Safety: The NPPS is an
organization dedicated to injury prevention. They provide information
regarding playground safety tips and FAQ's, and playground report
cards on playgrounds in your area.

Recreation and Park Association: NRPA and National
Playground Safety Institute (NPSI)'s mission is "To advance parks,
recreation and environmental conservation efforts that enhance the
quality of life for all people."

The Texas Recreation and Park
Society: TRAPS is a non-profit, professional and
educational organization founded over 69 years ago to advance the
profession of parks, recreation, and leisure services in Texas.

U.S. Consumer
Product Safety Commission: CPSC is an independent federal
regulatory agency. The commission works to save lives and keep
families safe by reducing the risk of injuries and deaths associated
with consumer products.
